so i started messing around with the OSD. I went through few configurations but could not get the monitor to shine like an IPS does (the closes display i had was a sager laptop with an upgraded matte 95% color gamut). the color was a little washed out and needed to be calibrated. when i turned on the monitor my PC picked it up with no problems. but mine came with a Display Port along with those connections. The connections are As listed on the website as HDMI,VGA,DVI-D. it comes with a 1 year warranty card and a manual.
I brought it home, and the box of it is very plain. I did not know if VGA would be able to output the high res this monitor offers so I took my chances and took it home, they told me i had a 15 day return period and they would most likely be okay with 30 days. So i purchased and went and their service department only had a old dell office computer with VGA out only. I asked if i can test it out, he informed me i would have to purchase it first then take it to the service department so i can hook it up to one of their computers back their.
I went down to Micro Center yesterday (Tustin,CA) and went straight for this monitor, they had none for display nor out on the floor, the sales man had to go to the back to get one. So i decided to help the people to have some sort of knowledge of what to expect from this monitor. My main reason is for this review is before i was going to purchase i only had one review to go off of. Im writing this review of this monitor for people looking to pick one up from Micro Center.
